This IBM System Storage 146GB 15Krpm 6Gb SAS 2.5 inch SFF HDD Feature Code 1746-5205 requires an available disk drive bay in an IBM DS3524 or EXP3524 expansion unit. IBM best practices for this 1746-5205 Hard Disk Drive require a minimum Model Type 1746 firmware revision of 07.70.16.01 and a minimum EXP3500 ESM firmware revision of 3.16. IBM Storage Manager v10.86 or greater, inconjuntion with Controller FW v7.86, is required to enable the HDD capable T10 PI funtionality.
