This IBM System Storage 146GB 15Krpm 6Gb SAS 2.5 inch SFF HDD FRU 49Y1845 requires an available disk drive bay in an IBM DS3524 or EXP3524 expansion unit. IBM best practices for this 49Y1845 Hard Disk Drive require a minimum Model Type 1746 firmware revision of 07.70.16.01 and a minimum EXP3500 ESM firmware revision of 3.16. IBM Storage Manager v10.86 or greater, inconjuntion with Controller FW v7.86, is required to enable the HDD capable T10 PI funtionality.
