Supports up to (4) Alpha 21364 EV7 CPUs running at 1.0 Ghz or 1.15 Ghz (3X-KN73C-xx).(See documents below for upgrading form 2 to 4 processors. with 2P drawers.)

| Memory |
Each CPU can address up to 4GB of memory, bringing the total amount of memory addressable by the system to 16 GB when 4 CPUs are installed. Memory is sold in groups of (4) or (5) RIMMs if redundancy is required. 5 RIMM slots per CPU.

| Internal Storage |
Each I/O drawer supports up to (2) Hot-Plug 300GB 15K U320 SCSI Disk Drives. Both the pedastal server and the 2P "processor drawer" support (2) Hot-Plug 300GB 15K U320 SCSI disk drives each. Drives are controlled by an integrated Ultra3 SCSI controller. (U320 Drives are backward compatible with Ulra3 controllers.) External storage is added via StorageWorks expansion arrays.
