Overview

The IBM x3100 server was introduced as part of IBM's M3 lineup. No M1 or M2 X3100 exists. The best way to determine which server you have is via the 4-digit IBM feature code on the front of your server. Different generation X3100 models are based off of new Intel CPU generations, often changing sockets and Bus speeds, making memory and CPU modules between generations incompatible.
