Overview

The SUN StorEdge 3120 is an entry level mass storage device for adding capacity to a server or pair of servers using U160 (Ultra3) SCSI HBAs or RAID controllers.

Up to (4) 300GB 15K LVD disk modules can be installed in the StorEdge 3120. The "JBOD" can operate in split bus (where each SCSI channel only sees 2 drives) or full mode (where all 4 drives can be accessed via either SCSI channel.)

RAID functionality is implemented through software such as the Solaris Solstice Disk Suite.
