Overview

The SUN StorEdge 3510 can operate as a full hardware RAID controller or a JBOD("Just a Bunch of Disks) depending on the controller installed. Up to 108 disk drives can be attached to the RAID controller when (8) expansion units are attached.

The StorEdge 3510 also supports StorEdge 3511 SATA expansion enclosures to accommodate high capacity 400GB SATA disk modules. Up to (5) 3510 or 3511 expansion shelves can be attached to a 3510 controller (in any combination.)
