The rx2600 can address 24GB of RAM using 2GB DIMMs, installed in 12 memory slots. The memory type must be PC2100 DDR266A Registered ECC DIMMs.

| Internal Storage |
The rx2600 accommodates (3) internal, hot-swappable disk modules for a total internal storage capacity of 900GB. Two drives attach to one channel of the server's U320 SCSI controller while the third drive and external storage attach to the second channel. Maximum capacity is obtained by installing (3) 300GB 10K U320 disk options (AB423A.) High speed 15K RPM drives are supported as well.
