HP Modular Smart Arrays (MSA) provide Direct Attached Storage (DAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN) capacity upgrades for your Proliant and Industry Standard Servers. The MSA architecture has six Generations.

When ordering disk drives for your HP MSA pay special attention to:

- SCSI, SAS, MDL, SATA, SSD and SED HDD technology options
- 3.5" LFF and 2.5" SFF form factors
- 1.5Gbps/3Gbps/6Gbps/12Gbps interface speeds
- Single vs. Dual Port options
