The rp7420 can address 128GB of RAM using (32) 4GB ECC Registered DIMMs. Memory must be installed in Quads.

The rp7420 accommodates (4) internal, hot-swappable SCSI disk drive modules for an internal capacity exceeding 1TB. Each disk drive is attached to a separate Ultra3 SCSI channel for maximum performance.
Maximum storage capacity is obtained by installed (4) 300GB 10K SCSI Disk Modules (Option AD050A or AD149A.)

Note: In order to use all 4 internal drive bays, a second Core I/O card must be installed which contains two additional UltraSCSI channels.

Mirroring is supported accross disks and controllers.
