The rx7620 can address 128GB of RAM using 4GB DIMMs, installed in 32 memory slots. The memory must be installed in quads and must be PC2100 rated ECC DDR DIMMs.

The rx7620 accommodates (4) hot-swappable disk modules for a total internal storage capacity exceeding 1TB. Each drive is attached to a separate Ultra3 SCSI channel for maximum performance. Maximum capacity is obtained by installing (4) 300GB 10K U320 disk options (AD050A or AD149A.) High speed 15K RPM drives are supported as well.

Note: A second I/O core server board is required to use more than 2 SCSI drives internally. A single SCSI channel is dedicated to each disk drive. Each I/O core has a single dual-channel SCSI controller.
