Overview

The IBM x343 (Type 8847) is a 2U rack optimized server.

These servers support (2) 2.4Ghz Intel Xeon CPUs with a 533 MHz FSB. (6) memory slots allow for the installation of 6GB of PC2100 ECC Registered memory which must be installed in matching pairs of DIMMs. [Note: You must be running a 64-Bit Operating System or 32-Bit OS with Physical Address Extension PAE support to address memory above the 4GB barrier.]

Drive Configuration Options:

The x343 has two SCA 80-PIN hot-swap SCSI bays that can support (2) 300GB 10K U320 SCSI disk modules.

An optional ServeRAID card can be installed and attached to external EXP400 disk drive expansion arrays.
